Eric Luchen is a Chicago based designer, who works all over the Chicgoland area and beyond. He has been working as a freelance scenic designer since he relocated to Chicago in 2010 after attending the Scenic Design MFA program at Purdue University. In that time he has assisted on multiple regional, broadway, and international productions for scenic designers Todd Rosenthal and Kevin Depinet. In addition to his assistant work he also serves as an instructor for the organization After School Matters, where he works directly with high school students teaching them design and production techniques for theatre. In 2018 Eric received the Joseph Jefferson award for Best Scenic Design for Interrobang Theatre's production of Foxfinder. Some of his recent credits include: BUDDY: The Budddy Holly Story (Metropolis Performing Arts), All Shook Up (Williams Street Rep) The Diary of Anne Frank (Oakton Community College), Annie, The Fantasticks (Citadel Theatre).
